Launching of the Seiner Top Wave in November 1973. Campbells Shipyard was on fire around that time pumping out seiner after seiner. Seiner Polaris great little seiner which later had a name change to the Gina Marie. Built in 1970 it sank pretty early I want to say sometime in the late 70s unfortunately . Please share your photos with us at [email protected]

Only posting this because it saddens me so much. Such a beautiful seiner in its San Diego days and owned by wonderful family. It was sold a few years ago to New Zealand company and appears to be up for sale again. The San Diego fleet is going away one by one and there’s not many left.. [email protected]

A recent shot of the Sea Encounter tied up in Samoa. By far the best stretch job ever done, and a great seiner. Owned by the Dasilva family back in  the San Diego days they also owned the classic seiner Aquarius . Great family, Great seiner.  [email protected]
